The story of Twice Tested began when, through a friend of a friend, Bill Northcutt reached out to Victor Hess. Bill wanted his story told. Vic was initially hesitant—his books were mostly middle-grade Christian novels—but he agreed and began recording interviews with Bill as Bill’s health declined. When Bill passed away, Vic reached out to Mikala for help finishing the project. He didn’t want to leave Bill’s story untold. As co-authors, they worked together to bring Bill’s story to the world, and a little over a year after Bill died, they launched Twice Tested at the Boston Stoker where Bill used to work.
